Abelia Kaleidoscope 3L

Abelia Kaleidoscope 3L

Abelia ‘Kaleidoscope’ is a compact, semi-evergreen shrub grown for its long-lasting, variegated foliage and late-season flowers. Leaves emerge and hold bright yellow-and-green variegation through spring and summer, then take on orange-red tints as temperatures cool. From late summer into autumn it bears small, white, lightly scented flowers on neat, bushy growth. Reliable in Ireland in a warm, sheltered spot, it makes a colourful low mound for mixed borders, edging, low hedging or containers. Plant in fertile, well‑drained soil in sun or light shade (best flowering in sun); trim lightly after flowering to maintain shape.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
